How to make a suspended mobile Fimo paste?

Step 1 :
The round pendant "terrazzo"

• Make a flat white circle
• Flatten blue dough
• With a knife, cut small pieces of various shapes into the blue
• Place the pieces on the white circle
• Flatten with your fingers and with a roller

2nd step :
Striped stars

• Flatten two rectangles of different colors of the same thickness (about 0.5 cm)
• Cutting strips in 2 colors
• Place the side-by-side stripes to create stripes
• Flatten a little with a roller
• With cookie cutters cut the desired shapes

Step 3:
Mix the remaining colors to create multi-colored balls. Make thicker forms (about 0.8 cm) to be able to pierce them from edge to edge to place them with other elements or to place elements in their center

Step 4:
For the dotted ball

• make a big ball
• take small pieces of another color, roll them into small balls then flatten and place on the big
• roll the ball in your hands to get the peas inside (which will be a bit distorted)
• pierce the ball board edge

Step 5:
For the wooden ring with ball in the center

• Drill with a small wick the ring
• Tuck the string into the top hole
• Thread the ball
• Make one or more knots to hold the ball
• Place the string in the bottom hole of the ring

For the other pendants it is about different pieces threaded on a string with knots with or without pearls and to retain the pieces.

Step 6:
Mobile assembly:

Cut 2 pieces of 1 m nylon thread each.
Surround the middle of your wire once around your 35mm ring. Let hang 30 cm and tie a knot around your brass circle do this at each end by opposing your knots (north-south) then redo the same (east west)
Hang the items in the order you prefer (taking care to leave the weight of the items)
Then with the remaining thread, cut 4 pieces to hang items directly to the brass ring, between your 4 "cardinal points"
I chose the nylon thread because when your knots are made, burn the end to secure your node to the maximum! Be very careful to check often that the knots are in place and that the mobile is out of reach of children.

** 1mm pearls have a hole too big to be able to simply make knots so place a golden interlayer then make your knots.
** The large faceted bead also requires you to place a wooden bead and a spacer before making your knot.

Your mobile is now finished!
