Tear the tissue paper into small pieces. Do not use scissors to avoid sharp lines. Tearing the paper allows the fibers to bind together. Apply a coat of glassificateur varnish to a small part of the vase.
Place a piece of tissue paper on the vase, then apply more glassificateur.
Proceed in this way over the entire vase. Avoid overlapping the tissue paper for this first layer, which should be as transparent as possible.
Let dry.
Apply a second layer of tissue paper to the bottom two-thirds of the vase. Leave to dry again.
The glassificateur dries quickly, so the vase can be decorated very quickly. Apply a third layer of tissue paper as before to the first third of the vase.
If you find that the gradation is not strong enough, add one or two layers of tissue paper on the second third and four or five layers on the bottom third. Leave to dry.
