STEP 1
Cut a small piece of felt and score the center of a cross with a cutter. Glue on a PureCrystal kitten and leave to dry for a few minutes.
STEP 2
Cut a piece of rhinestone chain to a length of 12 rhinestones.
STEP 3
Secure the chain around the kitten with a few dots of glue and cut the felt around it.
STEP 4
This step involves sewing around this new piece. The pattern will be made up of a total of 8 Diamonduo beads and 8 Minos beads. Pass the thread through the felt, around the edge, then thread one Minos and one Diamonduo. Sew them in place by stitching the thread into the edge of the felt. Finally, iron the thread through the two beads for extra hold and for the rest of the project.
STEP 5
Thread a Minos and a Diamonduo again, then repeat the operation to go all the way around the kitten and the chain.
STEP 6
Pull the needle out of the top hole of a Diamonduo.
STEP 7
Insert one Seed bead 11/0, two SuperDuo beads and another Seed bead 11/0 on the thread and pass through the top hole of the next Diamonduo. Continue in this way all the way round.
STEP 8
To weave the last strand of beads, thread a bicone between two SuperDuo beads, then a facet between the next two. Continue until you've completed the round.
STEP 9
Gently pull the thread to shape the beads into a dome.
STEP 10
Now you need to insert the ear stud. To do this, thread the needle through a bicone, thread two Seed beads 15/0, then pass the thread through the ear stud ring, and thread two Seed beads 15/0 again. Pull the thread back slightly and pass it several times in this sequence (spinning top, seed beads, stud, seed beads, spinning top...) to consolidate the earring.
You're done! Now all you have to do is make the second earring!
