How to make plant magnets?..follow our step-by-step instructions and get started with this DIY decoration using polymer clay, succulents and magnets.
Step 1
Cut a loaf of Sahara-colored clay into 3 equal parts. Add the same amount of Sahara clay to the first portion. For the second part, add 1 caramel-colored bar, and for the last part only a quarter of a bar. Mix your 3 parts separately to obtain a cameo of colors.

Step 2
Using a blade, cut your clay into small segments. Start by cutting a thin bar, then, by tilting the blade, cut out triangles of varying sizes.

Step 3
Add a few drops of black acrylic paint to your clay segments, mixing with your fingertips and gloves, trying to separate your pieces so that they are covered on all sides.

Step 4
Form a block by holding all the small pieces of clay together in your hand, squeezing to ensure they stick together. Your imitation cork duck is now ready.

Step 5
Cut several thick slices from the cane. Place them side by side, lay baking paper on top and roll to smooth the joints. Cut 2 rounds with the cookie cutter, and on one of the 2, reposition the cutter to remove part of the top. Bake the incomplete round on a light bulb for 15 minutes at 120 degrees. Set the other aside.

Step 6
Place the baked round on top of the raw round. Drizzle liquid Fimo over the contact points and bake for thirty minutes at 120 degrees.

Step 7
Wait until your plant holder has cooled before using your finger to apply a little golden patina to the edges of your creation.

Step 8
Have fun filling your little containers with soil and succulents. Simply apply glue to the back with a magnet to add a touch of greenery throughout your home.
