Are you looking for a bracelet that's simple to make but still adds a little something to your outfit? You've come to the right place! In this tutorial, you'll learn how to make a simple cord bracelet, simply by stringing worked gold beads and an ex voto heart charm. Accessible to beginners, this tutorial doesn't require any particular technique. The only slightly technical part of the tutorial will be putting on the crimp ends to finish your bracelet.
For the autumn - winter season, I've chosen a khaki, dark blue and gold cord, but we have other choices of braided cords on the site. So feel free to personalize this bracelet to suit your tastes.
This tutorial is part of our Les Oracles DIY jewelry collection. Focusing on the theme of good luck charms, you'll find several DIY projects ranging from charms necklaces to earrings and heishi beads and charms bracelets. All have a touch of beads, charms or pendants with lucky charms symbols.

Start by tying a knot on the cord. Then thread on a first round golden bead and tie the knot again.

String on a new golden bead and tie the knot again.

Next, take a flat-headed nail and slide it into the ex-voto bead. Then use One Step Looper pliers to form a beautiful loop on the top of your nail.
If you don't have these pliers, you can use a pair of flat nose pliers and round nose pliers to make the loop. If you need help, we've got a data sheet to help you.

Thread the cord through the loop you've just formed. Then tie a new knot.

Repeat steps 1 and 2 for a symmetrical sequence.

Finish by adding the crimp ends to each end of the cord, cut to the right length for your wrist size. To secure your cord in the end cap, you can apply a dot of glue before folding over both sides of the clip.
