Discover this blue ceramic bead necklace with its pretty lobster-shaped glass pendant. A perfect match for all your outfits this season, whether you're going to the beach or out for the evening! It's a trendy necklace that can be worn on its own or in combination with thinner necklaces, such as chains.
In this tutorial, accessible from beginner level, you'll discover step-by-step how to make a simple necklace with just a few products. You'll need wire, ceramic beads and a glass pendant, as well as a Lobster Clasp, open rings, wire protectors, crushable bead covers, crushable beads and an extension chain. Equipped with pliers, all you have to do is follow the steps.
This necklace is customizable: in addition to the blue version, I'm offering a pink version, pictured below. You can also choose from our wide range of ceramic beads and change the pendant for another model.

Start by cutting about 45 centimetres of wired thread. This measurement can be adjusted according to the size of your neck.
Slide a crush bead into the wire, followed by a wire protector, then pass the wire back through the crush bead.
Use Crimp beads pliers to crush the bead.
Slide a bead cover over the bead to be crushed and close it with flat-nose pliers, without pressing too hard.
Slide the beads halfway down the necklace.
Using two pliers, open a ring and add the pendant.
Slide it onto your necklace and continue threading the ceramic beads.
Once all your beads have been strung, repeat steps 1, 2 and 3 of the tutorial to close your necklace.
Using two pliers, open a ring and slide on the Lobster Clasp. Add it to one end of the necklace and a ring to the other.
If you'd like to make a pink version of the necklace with the cactus (materials to be found in product variations, under the list of materials), you'll need to insert a flat-headed nail into the cactus. Using wire cutters, cut the nail so that 2 cm of wire remains. Then form a loop using round-tipped pliers. Make sure the loop protrudes far enough so that the cactus doesn't stick too much to the beads when threaded.
