Today, I'd like to show you how to make a necklace that mixes ceramic beads with freshwater pearls. Designed as a strong yet easy-to-wear piece, this marine necklace will add an elegant, natural touch to your summer outfits.
This summer shell necklace is very easy to make, making it the ideal project if you want to get started in jewelry-making. It requires few materials and little technique. The only minor difficulty you may encounter is with the crush beads, but everything is explained in the steps below, and we have a data sheet on how to use crush beads on our site to supplement if necessary.
Also, you can totally personalize this piece of jewelry by choosing another gold pendant or changing the ceramic beads. We have a wide choice on our site! I've also chosen to add an extension chain as a clasp so you can easily adapt the length of the necklace. So you can easily make this necklace as a gift for a loved one.

To begin, take your wire and pass it through the bead to be crushed, then through the wire and back through the bead to be crushed. Use pliers to crush the bead.
Next, take the Crimp bead cover and position it over the bead to be crushed. Tighten with flat-nose pliers, taking care not to flatten the bead.
Start stringing the beads. Here I've strung 17 beads to make half the necklace, for a total length of around 37cm.
Take a ring and open it to insert the pendant. You can then close the ring and thread it in.
Resume your bead threading, threading the same number of beads as on the first half.
Repeat step 1 to finish your necklace: thread the bead to be crushed, the wire protection and iron the wire over the bead to be crushed.
Finish by adding your clasp on one side and the extension chain on the other to adjust the length to your liking.
