Catch the ring on either side of the opening with two flat pliers. Open the ring wide by rotating both sides. Place the ring on the rush where you wish to attach the Christmas charm.
Then slide your charm into the ring, and close it with the two pliers. If this is too difficult, bring the two ends together by grasping them at the same time with a single pair of flat pliers, then finish with both pliers, moving back and forth slightly to close the ring opening.
