Start by forming a string of 10 beads.

Hanging ear rings are one of those pieces of jewelry we love to make and wear with a little dress or a pretty blouse. Especially if they're long, fringed earrings that run down the neck. They make any outfit look elegant and stylish.
This tutorial is from the "Perlement vôtre" jewelry collection, an original collection featuring creations imagined and designed by the five winners of our Cré'Académy 2024 creative competition. Pretty DIY jewels to take everywhere with you this summer, to embellish your vacation outfits.
This hanging earrings tutorial was created by Gwendoline. Gwendoline shows you how to make these original ear rings in just seven steps. She chose peach-coloredMiyuki pearls, which are very much on trend, since this is the Pantone color of the year 2024. But there's nothing to stop you making personalized earrings by choosing other colors from our wide range of seed beads to match your outfits. There are so many to choose from, you'll be spoilt for choice!
For the triangular base, she used the brick stitch weaving technique. This needle-weaving technique, also known as "brick stitch", arranges the beads next to each other to resemble a brick wall. Hence the name! To find out all about brick stitch weaving, visit our technical datasheet.

Start by forming a string of 10 beads.
Then form a brick stitch triangle.
If you're a beginner, take a look at our various technical sheets on brickstitch weaving, in particular the one on how to make increases and decreases.
Thread the last bead on top at the same time as the earring ring. Make a turn and lower the needle into the edge beads.
Finish with a charm before stringing the beads again.
Slide the needle into the brick stitch bead on the side and do the same for the next 9 rows.
Create a gradient with the beads.
To finish, simply slide the threads into the beads on the edge and trim off the excess.
