How to customize earrings with crystal spinning tops?

Here's a little tip for customizing these long golden earrings with emerald-green crystal spinner beads. Create original earrings in less than 30 minutes. All you need are 3 mm crystal spinners, 0.32 mm copper wire and the pair of earrings you want to customize. These dangling earrings are made up of golden discs that are linked together to form a chain.

The pearls are available in several colors and from two different brands: PureCrystal and Preciosa. You can also use other types of 3 mm pearls, such as pearly pearls. Combined with emerald green spinning tops, these earrings recall the delicacy of plants. By changing the pearls, you can easily achieve other styles.

This tutorial is suitable for beginners in costume jewelry making. You'll need wire cutters and fine pliers, either flat or round, to grip the wire and place it in the gaps more easily. These long golden earrings will go perfectly with a neutral or patterned flowing blouse. These earrings are 6.5 cm long. Note that by passing the copper wire through the discs, the earrings lose their fluidity and are a little stiffer.

Step 3

Continue attaching 3 spinners on one side and then the other, passing through the next part of the earring each time. Once you've reached the end, thread 3 tops through to the bottom of the earring. Pass the thread through the last part of the earring to form a loop under the earring. Note that the bottom of the earring is simply clipped, not soldered, so if you force the wire as you tighten it, it may slip through and out of the loop. Tighten by holding the wire upwards.

Step 4

Wrap the thread around the thread of the bottom 3 beads to secure it, then return to the loop to hide the thread. Cut off the two protruding ends at the top and bottom.

Step 5

Make the other earring in mirror image. That is, add the pearls on the opposite side.
