Bubble Jewelry - Asymmetrical link bracelet and earrings

In the series of quick and easy tutorials, we suggest you make a jewelry set consisting of a large mesh bracelet and dangling earrings. This DIY creation is right in line with the trend for bubble jewelry, the elegant, maximalist 3D-effect oversized jewelry we love.
We've chosen irregular, hammeredspacers and pendants to create the desired bubble effect. To make them, all you need are jewelry clips and... a few minutes.

Very easy to make, these bubble-effect jewels require no more than simple jewelry mounting. We hooked large links together using open rings. If you're a beginner, you'll find a datasheet on how to open a ring.

For the asymmetrical earrings, we paired a mother-of-pearl bead with gold links. The iridescent and gold colors of the links blend perfectly. You'll need to make a pigtail loop to suspend it from the links. The technique is very simple, and can be found on our data sheet.

To adjust the size of the bracelet, test it on your wrist. Simply remove or add the large links you need. Don't forget to take into account the size of the T-clasp to get the right length.

If you're a beginner, don't hesitate to take our beginners' jewelry training course to learn the right gestures and create your own DIY costume jewelry.

Tutorial steps

Step 1
Bubble Jewelry - Asymmetrical link bracelet and earrings : Step 1

Earrings:

Thread your mother-of-pearl bead onto a ball stud. Using round-tipped pliers (or loop-forming pliers), make a loop at the top of the pearl.

If you're not sure how to do this, take a look at our datasheet on"How to form a loop on a jewelry nail."

Step 2
Bubble Jewelry - Asymmetrical link bracelet and earrings : Step 2

Take an ear stud and, using a ring, pass the hammered irregular oval spacer (ITC-483) through it. In the remaining hole, pass the mother-of-pearl bead through a second ring.

Your first earring is now ready.

Step 3
Bubble Jewelry - Asymmetrical link bracelet and earrings : Step 3

For the second earring, do the same with the second stud, the hammered irregular oval spacer(ITC-484) and the hammered rounded drop pendant.

Step 4
Bubble Jewelry - Asymmetrical link bracelet and earrings : Step 4

Your pair of irregular earrings is ready.

Step 5

The bracelet:

Works similarly to the earrings. Hook the spacers together with rings, alternating a large and then a small one.

Step 6
Bubble Jewelry - Asymmetrical link bracelet and earrings : Step 6

At the end of the bracelet, attach two rings one after the other. Thread the T clasp through the last ring.

Step 7
Bubble Jewelry - Asymmetrical link bracelet and earrings : Step 7

On the other side of the bracelet, hook the round part of the clasp.

Step 8
Bubble Jewelry - Asymmetrical link bracelet and earrings : Step 8

Close the bracelet, and it's finished.

Merci
