How to make fine bracelets from natural stones?
Make your own bracelets with natural amethyst and other gemstones in pastel hues. Discover the tender green and violet colors of fluorite, the dazzling white of moonstone and the subtle softness of rose quartz, not forgetting morganite. These pretty stones will subtly and tastefully adorn your wrist. Wear them with a blouse or light sweater in neutral tones or cool, pink hues. All in all, these fine gemstone bracelets will be the perfect accompaniment to your spring outfits.
This tutorial is part of our"Pierre J'aime" collection of jewelry tutorials. If you love natural stone jewelry, be sure to check out the other tutorials in the collection. One of the tutorials,"Three strands of natural pearl bracelet", also uses lilac quartz pearls. You can use the same bead strand for both tutorials and replace the 5 mm gold flower rondelles with the rest of your 4 mm flower rondelles. You'll save over 7 euros by sharing the two tutorials. And if you're not interested in making a second bracelet, join us on Sunday March 10, 2024 for another gemstone video tutorial to make 3 matching necklaces. In this tutorial, you'll use leftover lilac quartz beads, morganite, gold flower rondelles, primers and fishing line.
To close the bracelets, we use a technique that involves flattening and folding a crush tube in half. The best way to do this is with a pair of squeezing bead pliers. However, the tubes are made of stainless steel, so they are rather difficult to handle, as this is a very hard metal. If you're a beginner or have difficulty using crush pliers, then use the flat pliers to simply flatten the tube on both sides of the wire. This isn't the safest finish because it could damage the wire, but it's the easiest version. To make sure the clasp holds, don't hesitate to pull on the wire. It's best to realize this before wearing the bracelets and losing the pearls.
