Crystals and settings are often purchased separately. The settings are the metal supports to which the crystal cabochon is attached. Without these settings, the number of creations possible with crystal cabochons is quite limited. In our range of Aurora brand crystals, we offer a number of pre-set crystal references. The advantages are considerable time savings and the assurance of a perfectly set crystal.
For our rhinestone and crystal bracelet, we'll be using pre-mounted oval-shaped crystals. These settings have two holes on the sides. All we have to do is use these crystals as beads, threading them onto two wires. As our bracelet has two strands of pearls, we chose a sliding clasp with two rings on each side. To complement the Aurora crystals, you can use gold beads and rhinestone rondelles. In the video and in the material list, we've included round gold-plated brass beads, which are very affordable, but this type of product oxidizes quickly. If you want a more durable bracelet, you can use the gold-plated stainless steel beads shown in the variation section of the hardware list. These are sold in packs of 10, unlike the other gold-plated brass beads, so calculate the quantity you'll need to make a bracelet to your size. Likewise, adjust the quantity of crystals and rhinestones if necessary.
The part with the golden pearls, i.e. 5 pearls 2.5 mm + 1 pearl 3 mm on each side, 1 crystal on each side and the clasp is approx. 5.2 cm. A chain of crystal, 3 mm pearl, 2.5 mm pearl, rhinestone washer, 2.5 mm pearl, 3 mm pearl is 1.7 cm and without the crystal, 1.2 cm. Measure your wrist circumference and add 1.5 cm to this measurement. For example, if your wrist is 16 cm, you get 17.5 cm. Subtract 5.2 cm and 1.2 cm. You get 11.1 cm. Divide 11.1 by 1.7. You get 6.5 cm. So you'll need to repeat the sequence 7 times (or 6 times and adapt the number of golden beads to the clasp), and you'll need a total of 9 crystals (the 2 near the clasp + the 7 sequences), 52 2.5 mm beads (the 20 near the clasp (5+5+5+5), the 4 from the sequences without crystals, and 7 sequences without crystals).without crystal, and 7 chains x 4 beads), 36 beads 3 mm (the 4 near the clasp (1+1+1+1), the 4 from the chain without crystal, and 7 chains x 4 beads), 16 rhinestone washers (the 2 washers from the chain without crystal and the 7 chains x 2 washers).
