Separate a thread of raffia from the ball and thread it through a large tapestry needle. Tie the end with a double knot on a first bracelet.

Hold the 3 bracelets one above the other with two fingers. The bracelet with the knotted raffia is at the top. Pass in front of the middle bracelet, then back between the middle and bottom bracelets. Go over the bottom bracelet, then back to the same place.

Go behind the middle bracelet and through the space between the middle and top bracelets. Pass around the top bracelet, enclosing the piece of raffia coming from the knot to hide it, and return to the same space. Continue weaving the raffia like this for a few centimetres. Cut off the small piece of raffia that sticks out after a few trips. It will be hidden in the weave.

Tie the raffia to the bracelet. Cut a piece of colored silk thread about 20 cm long. Tie it onto the protruding piece of raffia to hide it. Start weaving the thread using the same technique.

To create stripes with other colored threads, you can cut a new piece of thread, knot it on the bracelet and on the thread of the previous color at the same time. Then weave with this new thread, enclosing the old thread in the weave to hide it. This way, you can resume weaving directly with the old thread, without having to knot and cut it for each scratch. Of course, this makes the side thicker because there's a thread underneath.

Continue covering the bracelet with colored bands and Raphia.

To finish, tie a knot with the last thread and pass the thread end through the weave inside the bracelet, then cut off the excess thread. Finally, apply a dab of vinyl glue to the knots to prevent the wires from unravelling.
