Cut 40 cm of C-LON beading cord, fold it in half and tie it onto the 3 cm ring with a lark's knot. To do this, pass the loop under the ring and pass the ends of the wire through the loop over the ring.

Are you looking for a back-to-school jewelry design that still extends the vacations? This tutorial is for you! These original ear rings combine a mix of materials (waxed thread and seed beads) and two techniques: pearl weaving and macramé weaving.
For the macramé weaving technique, there's nothing complicated about it. All you need to master is the lark's knot. If you're just starting out, or if you'd like to practise, you'll find a short video reminder of the 11 basic macramé knots.
The bead-weaving technique used here is the brick stitch weave around a ring that we saw earlier.
This model of fancy earrings is taken from the former Summer Nights weaving kit offered as a limited edition a few years ago by Perles & Co. The 8/0 seed beads in the kit were originally Rocailles Toho 8/0 Hybrid Hazelnut Metallic (TO8R-YPS0075), but the reference listed in the equipment list will be prettier.
For a variation on these two techniques, see other tutorials:

Cut 40 cm of C-LON beading cord, fold it in half and tie it onto the 3 cm ring with a lark's knot. To do this, pass the loop under the ring and pass the ends of the wire through the loop over the ring.

Pass the wire over the ring and then slide it through the loop formed and tighten.

This time, thread the wire under the ring and through the loop and tighten. Repeat steps 2 and 3, 9 times on each side of the first knot.

Cut the wire 3 mm from the knot and burn it on both sides.

Attach 1.5 m of Miyuki wire to the ring, leaving 10 cm of wire end. Thread 2 turquoise beads and weave around the ring. There are 2 times 3 turquoise beads and 22 dark blue beads.

Weave in Brick Stitch over the macramé. To attach the beads, simply pass the needle through the C-LON thread knots. This step is more like sewing. Be careful to stay centered.

Stand in the third blue bead and start weaving a row of 28 yellow beads.

Place yourself in the fourth yellow bead, thread side out. To do this, use the two beads in the row below to make a half turn.

String 1 dark blue bead, 1 Miniduo and 1 dark blue bead. Thread three beads further.

Go through 3 yellow beads and string the dark blue beads and the Miniduo again and then stitch 3 beads further. Pass through 2 yellow beads, turn around in the blue beads, string the bead chain and stitch 4 beads further. This part should be centered. Continue weaving the blue beads and Miniduo.

For the second part of the loop, weave 7 times 2 turquoise beads and a total of 25 dark blue beads.

Weave the second row of beads.

Take the first earring and thread the wire through to the eleventh dark blue bead, with the wire facing out. Thread 1 seed bead 8/0, tuck into the twelfth dark blue bead, pass through the center bead of the other part of the earring, pass under the ring and back through the center bead and bead 11. Repeat this step and then pin and cut the wire.

Stand in the third bead of the second row and begin weaving the third row with two dark blue beads. Go around the hoop of the first part of the earring, back into the second dark blue bead and one of the beads underneath and then turn around to go back into the second bead.

Continue weaving the third row with dark blue beads. The Brick Stitch weave will spread as you move away from the ring. To overcome this problem, you will need to add beads other than Brick Stitch. Add a bead above the turquoise triangles 2, 4 and 6 by going directly into the top bead and then turning around in the first row. This will fill in the gaps. If you have any beads in your bag that are unusually low, use those at the beginning and end of the third row first, and the same for the fourth row.

Weave the fourth row in single Brick Stitch, but pass the yarn around the ring of the first part so that the fourth row comes close to it. You will need to make half turns in the row below for each bead in row 4.
