Tutorial steps

Step 1
Elastic bracelets round heishi model Prairie : Step 1

Sit down and place the entire contents of the kit in front of you. Let your creativity flow and create the jewelry of your choice (bracelets, necklaces, anklets, phone accessories) with the elements available. The technique is always the same and consists of a simple stringing of beads on elastic thread. Discover some tips in the following steps

Step 2
Elastic bracelets round heishi model Prairie : Step 2

Relaxing your thread

When you have cut the necessary length, loosen your wire a little by pulling on it. This step prevents the wire from relaxing later, once the jewel is worn and empty spaces are created between the beads. This allows you to string the right number of beads to cover the desired length from the start.

Step 3

Stringing the beads

If you want to create a central pattern or symmetry, it is advisable to start with the beads you want to see in the center of your bracelet.

It is easier to visualize the final result. You can test this by adding or removing beads from each end of the wire without having to remove the entire length already strung. It is also convenient to adjust the length.

Step 4

Making the knot

To close your creation make a knot with your elastic thread. It is advisable to make a knot called surgeon's knot which you will find the technical demonstration in our data sheet: How to close an elastic bracelet? It is actually a classic knot for which the wire is wound twice. Repeat this step for the first knot and the second.

To ensure that your knot is well made, pull your thread close to the knot so that it tightens from the "inside".

Step 5

Securing the wire

For those who wish to add security to the existing knot, it is possible to place a dot of jewelry glue on the knot previously made. This step is not mandatory and the surgeon's knot ensures a good solidity for a normal use.

Step 6

Sliding knot

It is also possible to thread your beads on a micro macramé wire in order to make a macramé slip knot. This knot allows you to adjust the bracelet to all wrist sizes.

Caution! The wire for micro macramé is not included in the kit. You can find all the colors of threads available on our website : Linhasita waxed thread for micro macramé 0.75mm

Bonjour,
