Make silver-plated black sunburst charms with this tutorial. Indeed, our little vintage sun charms come in several designs with a symbolic shape in the center: The sun for courage, the clover for luck and the heart for love and friendship. Another model without a cutout in the center allows you to stick a small cabochon. Choose your favorite symbol and stone and make your own creoles. These earrings are inspired by Lucie T.'s tutorial: Original natural stone and macramé earrings. This version is cream, orange and gold. It is part of the collection of jewelry tutorials"Aux fils du temps". The resin half-circles are available in 41 and 50 mm, in cream, black and brown tortoiseshell effect. The tips are available in gold and silver. So you have plenty of room to customize them.
Apart from the anti-tarnish silver plated copper wire, all the metal primers are, at least, fine silver plated. You won't have much left over with the products listed in the tutorial. You will have 2 twisted rings left over that you can use for example to make this tutorial in a silver version: Sunflower earrings with SuperDuo beads. You will also have some Miyuki delica beads left which you can use for weaving or to make simple beaded bracelets.
Cut a 50 cm piece of wire. Glue it to the center of the half circle. Glue the tips as well. Let the glue dry for 1 hour.
Once the glue is dry, wrap the wire 5 times, covering the glued end of the wire. Then thread Miyuki delica and wrap it around the half ring tightly and compactly for 3 turns.
Wrap the wire again for 5 turns and then run it back the other way. Find a way to hold it against the other threads and glue it in place. Let it dry for at least 30 minutes before cutting off the excess thread.
Take a round head nail. Open the ring and slip in your sunshine charm. Thread the aventurine bead. With a round pliers, bend the nail at 90° to 2 mm from the hole of the pearl.
Cut 1 cm from the corner and form a loop with the rest using the round pliers. To do this, grab the end of the nail with the round pliers and turn the pliers in the opposite direction of the nail bend.
Connect the two tips with 5 rings. Open the earring of the stud and slide it into the middle ring, then close it. Then attach the loop you formed to the middle ring as well.
Open 4 twisted rings wide and close them over the half circle. Put glue on the copper wires in small touches and slide two rings on each side to hide them.
