Creating a heishi necklace is a creative activity to do without moderation this summer. You can create all kinds of necklaces with these beads, including surfer style necklaces. Polymer clay heishi beads are very light and comfortable to wear. To add a touch of refinement to this model of jewelry, we added ceramic heishi and gold and imitation gemstone rounds. The latter beads are much heavier, so we advise you to use them sparingly.
For this jewelry tutorial, we used fishing line and a golden buoy clasp. You can also make this necklace with elastic thread and not use a clasp. It is also possible to use wired wire instead of fishing line. If you want a very strong necklace, use 48 stranded wire and use a crush pearl pliers instead of flat pliers.
To personalize your necklace, use the alphabet beads to display your name or a word that is important to you.

Cut 70 cm of nylon thread and thread a squeeze tube. Thread the thread through the clasp ring, then back through the squeeze bead. Keep 5 to 7 cm of the thread end and pull the tube closer to the clasp before flattening it with flat pliers to lock the thread.
Thread a gold faceted bead, then cream heishi beads on 5 cm. Hide the thread in the heishi beads. Then alternate three times a blue ceramic heishi and a cream heishi. Again, string twice 3 cm of cream heishi, one gold washer, 3 turquoise heishi, one gold washer, and finish with 3 cm of white heishi, 3 blue heishi, 1 gold washer and your letter beads.
Repeat step 2 in reverse order to make the clamp symmetrical, then as in step 1, thread a squeeze tube, pass the wire through the other ring of the clasp, squeeze the wire again and flatten the tube with the pliers. thread the wire through the other ring of the clasp, thread through the crush tube again, tighten the wire and flatten the tube with the pliers. Hide the wire end by passing it through the hole in the beads for 5 cm then cut it.
