You've been waiting for them! The colored Opaque Mat resin beads have arrived at Perles and Co. For the release of this long-awaited product, we decided to offer you several models of ultra colorful bracelets for summer. Combine them with freshwater pearl bracelets and gold-plated bangles for a summery and trendy effect.
These pearls measure 6 mm in diameter. We paired them with 5mm gold flower rings, irregular freshwater pearls and small charms. Elastic bracelets are one of the simplest techniques in jewelry making. However, you must be careful to follow the steps and protect your bracelet to have a result that will last for many years.
Elastomeric plastics such as elastic thread are generally sensitive to high temperatures, UV, sea water and solvents. Therefore, it's best to remove them when you go swimming and don't leave them in the car in the sun this summer! For the rest of the tips, go below for the steps.
Pre-stretch your yarn by pulling on it. The elastic thread always relaxes a little at first. This will help force it to relax before you close the bracelet.
String your beads directly onto the wire spool to prevent the beads from escaping. Start by stringing the large gold hole bead that you will use to hide the knot later.
Check the length of the bracelet. It should be at least the size of your wrist + 1.5. If it's an inch longer that's fine too.
Cut your thread with some room to spare so you can tie the knot easily. Cut wide, because if the wire is too short, you risk dropping the beads. Make a double surgeon's knot. This is like a regular knot, but instead of wrapping the strands once, wrap them twice. Tighten it tightly once the second surgical knot is done and then tighten it from the inside of the bracelet as well. This will tighten the knot from the inside and outside.
Cut the ends of the wires, keeping 1 or 2 mm. Put glue on the knot and hide it in the large hole bead.
