DIY jewelry and weaving pattern with Miyuki 11/0 Royal Mix beads

What patterns to weave with Miyuki Delicas beads?

After some nice designs for our Terracotta kit, Virginie, who you know better as "Pistachio Stars", shares with you in this tutorial her creations from our Miyuki Delicas 11/0 bead set"Royal mix". This bead kit offers you in a cardboard box with pretty floral patterns an assortment of 6 references of Miyuki Delicas 11/0 beads itself packaged in round and transparent reusable boxes to store your bead references. Inside you will find an idea of creation to realize accompanied by its tutorial.

"Royal Mix" is a set of references in soft shades of pink and blue. All the creations can be made with the beads contained in the kit. Virginie has put her ideas on paper and shares with you different designs around a flowery theme:

  • Two bracelets in peyote weaving of different widths and lengths to match with the Perles&Co weaving tips:
    - 2.8cm x 12,3cm for a total length (with tips) of 13,5cm
    - 1cm x 13cm for a total length (with tips) of 15cm
  • A bracelet with a 3.2cm x 1.2cm interlocking pattern to mount on a bracelet chain
  • Two brooches: a vintage and floral teapot (3.1cm x 2cm) and a diamond (3.5cm x 2.8cm)
  • A ring: length to be adjusted to your finger size
  • A pair of dangling earrings to mount on ear hooks (2cm x 1cm)
  • Three patterns to personalize a notebook: about 3cm x 4 cm

These weavings are made with the brickstitch technique or the peyote technique (depending on the patterns chosen). For those who are new to bead weaving, you can consult all our technical sheets to learn bead weaving.
Don't forget to share the results of your creations by posting a photo on social networks and identifying @perlesandco and @etoile_pistache

Tutorial steps

Step 1
DIY jewelry and weaving pattern with Miyuki 11/0 Royal Mix beads : Step 1

The cuff bracelet

This bracelet is woven in odd Peyote (see the technical sheet of the odd Peyote weaving: https: //www.perlesandco.com/ressources/ft23641-comment-faire-un-tissage-peyote-impair.html)

Follow the instructions of the pattern to weave.

Weave the pattern several times to obtain the size corresponding to your wrist (between 7 and 9 times). Don't forget to take into account the length of the clasp.

At the end of the weaving process, attach the clasps of your choice.

I suggest you use the "Perles & Co" tips and a gold filled hook clasp.

To easily adapt the size of the bracelet to your wrist, I suggest you attach the clasp to 2 or 3 closed rings of 7mm diameter, linked together by small open rings of 3mm.

Step 2

Then fix the clasp with the open rings.

To easily adapt the size of the bracelet to your wrist, I suggest you attach the clasp to 2 or 3 closed rings of 7mm diameter, linked together by small open rings of 3mm (see photo)

Follow the instructions of the pattern to weave.

Weave the pattern several times to obtain the size corresponding to your wrist (between 6 and 8 times). Don't forget to take into account the length of the clasp.

At the end of the weaving process, attach the clasps of your choice.

Step 2/3

For the brooch assembly, I advise you to cut a piece of imitation leather slightly smaller than the size of the center of the teapot (the round part) and glue it to the back (picture of the left pattern)

Then glue the brooch attachment to the leatherette.

You can also glue the brooch attachment directly to the weave (photo of right pattern)

You will find links in these articles to understand how to continue weaving.

1. Follow the diagram on the right to make your weaving.

> in your first row (or your first 2 rows to start), repeat the pattern above until you get a length equal to the diameter of your fingers.

When this length is reached, weave the 3rd row. If the desired length does not allow you to weave a complete flower, replace with "golden" beads to avoid having a bad connection when the ring is closed. Also make sure to finish your first 2 rows with a bead on the bottom indented from the one on top.

2. Once you have finished your third row, do not cut the thread. Join the 2 ends together and secure them by running the wire through the beads.

Step 13
DIY jewelry and weaving pattern with Miyuki 11/0 Royal Mix beads : Step 13

Here is the result of the weaving of the earrings and ring.
On the front of the ring you can see the part made of golden pearls to adjust the size without being able to reproduce the flower pattern entirely.
