How to make a gemstone and silver bracelet ?

Make your own 925 silver bracelet with gemstone beads. This discreet but chic unisex bracelet will be perfect for a birthday gift. It will also make a great DIY gift for Valentine's Day. For example, you can make two matching bracelets for you and your loved one. The gemstones are pretty Agates with various colors that will enhance your everyday outfit. These stones are highlighted with silver 925 galvanized gold or raw beads. The clasp is a very trendy elongated snap hook. Want to use other gemstones? Discover all our stone beads.

This type of bracelet can be made with wired wire, but this time we chose to use Linhasita micro-macramé wire. We do not recommend the use of fishing wire for this creation. An elastic bracelet without a clasp is possible, but only with thick, good quality elastic wire as the heavy beads will put it to the test.

To create this bracelet, you will need the wrist size of the person you want to give it to. Add 1.5 cm to this dimension to get the minimum length of your bracelet. You can pre-position the beads and measure your bracelet before putting it on using an assembly tray. Also remember to check that you will have enough of 2 bags of gemstones to make the bracelet. The Agates are 6 mm wide, the nut beads are 5 mm and the clasp is 17 mm. Do a little calculation on a piece of paper before placing your order!

Tutorial steps

Step 1

Cut 60 cm of wire. Tie it to the clasp with a double knot.

Step 2

Cut the wire end 5 mm from the knot and melt the wire with the flame of a lighter. The melted wire end must fuse with the knot or the knot will come apart. Use the edge of your lighter to squish the melted wire onto the knot. Add some glue to make sure. Thread a nut bead that will serve to hide the knot.

Step 3

String your beads. The number of beads may be different depending on the size of your wrist. Calculate it in advance. You can help you preview your bracelet with an assembly tray. Finish with a nut bead. Tie the wire to a closed ring as in step 1. Tighten well, the bracelet should be compact and show little wire. Pass it through the bead nut again.

Step 4

Tie another double knot after the nut bead. Cut the wire 5 mm from the knot and burn it as explained in step 2.

Step 5

And that's it, your bracelet is finished! The ring will slide into the lobster clasp to open or close the bracelet.
