DIY - How to make a multi-row beaded bracelet?

In this tutorial, learn how to make a multi-row bracelet mixing different materials. The amber colors combined with the gold of the silk thread and the primers are perfect for the coming summer. This bracelet is composed of a22 mm Hiilos claspand two 11 mm links. Each link contains 3 to 5 creations for a trendy stacking effect.

The advantage with these Hiilos clasps is that it is possible to mix the links with other realizations and other clasps of different sizes. There is a lot to choose from! Do not hesitate to consult the other tutorials of bracelet with Hiilos clasps available on the site:

Tutorial steps

Step 1

First of all, it is important to calculate the size you need for your bracelet.

To do this, measure your wrist (just below the malleolus).

You will simply take this measurement for the realization.

The clasp adds a little more than 1 cm of ease. If you like to wear your bracelets a little loose, you can however add 0,5 cm to your starting measurement.

Example: If your wrist is 15 cm long and you don't like to wear your bracelets too tightly, you will need to make the links 15.5 cm long. Your bracelet will then measure 16.5 cm with the clasp.

Step 2
  • Miyukis weaving link (A)

Weave the pattern following the diagram above with the odd peyote method. You can find the technique on the website of Perles & Co.

A: DB-0674

B : DB-1490

C: DB-1804

D : DB-1832

E : DB-2286

It corresponds to a size 15 cm. It is possible to shorten it by removing rows or to enlarge it if necessary by adding rows of golden beads.

At the end of the weaving, double the last row (preferably use gold beads which are more solid for this kind of use). This will be used to attach the clasp.

To add the filigree stamp, simply place it on the bracelet. The center of the flower must be positioned on the middle of the bracelet at the level of the two golden pearls.

Pass the nylon thread through the beads (as if to block the thread) to the end of the stamp (on the right or left) then pass the thread through the hole in the stamp before passing the thread through the beads again. Do the same on the other side. The stamp is now attached to the weave.

A little tip: silk beads are quite sharp and fragile. To avoid cutting the thread it is important to take your time when weaving and not to force it if the needle blocks to avoid breaking a bead.

Step 3
  • Link with chain gourmette, golden bronze silk thread and filigree stamps (B)

Cut the chain to the desired length with a pair of wire cutters.

Cut the silk thread into two strands of the desired length + 15 cm.
Make a knot to join the two strands, then pass the first strand through one link of the chain and the second strand through the next link. Continue the assembly by alternating the strands. Each strand in a different stitch.

At the end, lock the silk threads by making a knot.

You can glue the knots with Hasulith type jewellery glue to solidify them.

Cut the excess thread

Install the filigree stamps by mounting them on the joining rings. Insert the rings at equal distances on the links of the chain. The middle one coinciding with the middle of the bracelet.

Step 4

  • Assembly of the end caps

For link #1 (which includes A,B):

Put the last row of the miyuki weave through the end cap. If you encounter a little resistance, don't hesitate to spread the end caps a little. Don't force it or you might break a bead.

Put a knot in the link of the curb chain. Spread the end cap a little to let a part of the last link go inside.

Tighten the ends if necessary and close them with a flat clip.

For link #2 (which includes C, D, E, F, G, H)

Pass the double knots of the different links and the last link of the ball chains through the end cap.

Close the end caps.

Thread the ends in your clasp, and here is your bracelet multirangs is finished !

Step 5

  • Miyuki Delicas bead link, filigree beads and ball beads (D):

Cut a piece of C-lon wire to the desired length + 15 cm. Make a double knot at the end of the wire.

Start by stringing 20 Miyukis beads randomly and then insert a golden ball bead.

String 10 new Miyukis beads randomly and then a filigree ball.

Then thread several Miyukis beads. At 1 cm before the middle, insert 3 golden Miyukis beads + 2 golden ball beads + 1 filigree bead (this one must coincide with the middle) + 2 golden ball beads + 3 golden Miyukis beads.

Finish the other half of the bracelet in mirror.

Finally make a last double knot at the end of the link.

The length between the two double knots must correspond to the length calculated for the bracelet.

Step 6

  • Heishis bead link (E):

Cut a piece of C-lon wire to the desired length + 15 cm. Make a double knot at the end of the thread.

String 4 ball beads and 1 filigree bead. Then add the heishis beads. At the 1st third of the link, thread a filigree bead. Continue with the heishis and at the second third add again a filigree bead. Finish the bracelet like the other side: 1 filigree bead then 4 ball beads.

Finally make a last double knot at the end of the link.

The length between the two double knots must correspond to the length calculated for the bracelet.

Step 7

  • Link with heishis beads and filigree tube (F):

Cut a piece of silk thread to the desired length + 15 cm.

Make a double knot at the end of the thread. Then make a knot to centre your work.

Glue the tip of the thread with Hasulith jewellery glue to prevent it from fraying.

Thread the beads in the order shown in the photo (1 heishis + 1 ball bead + 3 heishis beads + 1 filigree tube + 3 heishis beads + 1 ball bead + 1 heishi bead).

Make a new knot to block the beads. Finally, make a last double knot at the end of the link.

The length between the two double knots must correspond to the length calculated for the bracelet.

Step 8

  • Link with ball beads and filigree bead (F):

Cut a piece of silk thread to the desired length + 15 cm.

Make a double knot at the end of the thread. Then make a knot to centre your work.

Glue the tip of the thread with Hasulith jewellery glue to prevent it from fraying.

String the beads in the order shown in the photo (2 ball beads + 1 filigree bead + 2 ball beads).

Make a new knot to block the beads. Finally, make a last double knot at the end of the link.

The length between the two double knots must correspond to the length calculated for the bracelet.

Step 9

  • Link with filigree stamp insert (G) :

Cut two pieces of silk thread of the desired length + 15 cm.

Glue the tip of the thread with Hasulith type jewellery glue to prevent it from fraying.

Pass the thread through a hole in the stamp and then through the opposite hole. Center the stamp on the wire.

Do the same with the second thread so that the threads cross behind the stamp.

Centre your thread.

Make a knot at each end of the tie.

The length between the two double knots must correspond to the length calculated for the bracelet.

Step 10
