How to make a bracelet with resin beads?
Have you succumbed to the trend of large chain jewelry? Worn mainly as chokers layered with other thinner necklaces and other pendants, chunky chains are invading our Instagram feed to our delight. Whether as a necklace, bracelet or earrings, the oversize trend is not ready to stop.
In this tutorial, we show you how to mix a large chain with resin beads. A perfect combo to soften the imposing side of these meshes.
Aluminum is the perfect material to create an ultra light and comfortable DIY bracelet.
Cut the end of the flat head nail and make a large round ring with the round pliers.
Slide in the round bead, then do the same on the other side, making a round ring.
Form a fairly large loop with the round pliers. To do this, grab the end of the nail with the pliers at a wide point of the pliers and turn the pliers in the opposite direction of the angle. The wire will follow the rounding of the pliers and form a loop.
Slide the round bead onto the nail, then again make an angle and loop on the other side. Do the same for the other 3 round beads.
For the rest of the tutorial, you will need to know how to open and close open rings. These are rings that are cut at one point and connect two items, or in the case of the next step, chain links.
The mistake that beginners make is to spread the two ends of the ring, except that this deforms the ring, making it oval, and then it is very difficult to restore it to a proper round shape.
The method is to rotate the two ends from one side to the other, slide the elements in, then close by rotating in the other direction and make 1 or 2 slight back and forth so that the two ends are well face to face and touch.
Aluminum is very soft, so you can open the chain links with your hands or you can use flat pliers.
Add your round beads every 2 links.
Add a round clasp
Incorporate your round beads every 2 links. You will end up with 2 links on one side of the bracelet and 3 links on the other. Adjust the number of links if the bracelet is too small.
Add a round clasp.
To connect the clasp to your chain, make a round ring with the round clip. Place the clasp on the side of the two links.
