Customize your cutlery with polymer clay. Make a duck with translucent clay and white clay. The effect is amazing: you get the impression of seeing a relief, even though your cutlery is quite smooth.

Take 4 bars of translucent Fimo and shape into a cylinder. Run the remaining 4 bars of white clay through a medium-speed pasta machine to form a plate.

Roll up your cylinder on the baking sheet without overlapping the clay, and trim off any excess.

Roll your cylinder on a support while stretching the ends. Stretch it out and cut it into thinner and thinner pieces.

Assemble twenty or so filaments, then cut the cylinder into several pieces and join them together to increase the diameter of your cane.

Compress your cane in your hand.

Make a thin slab in the clay machine, and cover it with slices of your duck as for a mosaic. Place parchment paper on your baking sheet and smooth with a card until you've removed all the seams.

Place your cutlery on the clay tray, wrap gently around it, trim the excess clay and smooth the edges. Bake for 30 min at 120 degrees. Finish with 1000-grit sandpaper under soapy water, then apply varnish.
