How to stick PureCrystal Crystals on creoles ?
If you're in the mood for custom hoop earrings with PureCrystal crystals , you've come to the right place. We will present in this DIY video tutorial an original technique to fix your cabochons with set on openwork hoops and this technique will hold better than most glues for jewelry! This is possible thanks to the UV LED resin . It is a resin that ?catalyzes? or hardens thanks to UV rays. Unlike the two-component resin which has a catalysis time of several hours or even several days, the UV LED resin hardens in one minute thanks to a UV LED lamp .
With jewelry glue or classic resin it would have been almost impossible for you to carry out the tutorial presented here because you would then have to maintain your collage by hand for several tens of minutes in the first case and several hours in the other. Thanks to the UV LED resin you will only have to hold a minute!
Safety note: Use UV LED resin in a ventilated room, or under an extractor hood. Use gloves, mask and protective goggles in case of splashes.

Step 1 :
Place the cabochons in the corresponding settings and fold the legs of the settings onto the PureCrystal cabochons.
2nd step :
Attach the first cabochon to your table with a fixed leg, cabochon towards the table, to prevent it from moving. Put UV LED resin inside the flat setting on the table (remember to protect your table because you will not be able to remove the resin once it hardens). Put a sufficient dose so that the resin is slightly above the edge of the hole and that it touches the creole. Place the creole on top where you want to affix the cabochon. Be aware that the resin shrinks when it catalyzes.
Step 3:
Press the lamp to trigger the UV rays and hold it above the creole and the cabochon with your other hand until it goes out. Do not look directly at the light of the lamp.
Step 4:
Once the cabochon is pre-glued to the hoop with the resin, put a new layer of resin on top of the hoops. There must be enough resin to cover the area of the creole in contact with the setting and the first catalyzed part of the resin. Trigger the lamp again.
Step 5:
Repeat steps 2 to 4 for the other cabochons as well.
