Make small earrings original and colorful made of polymer clay with a silkscreen that allows to have a leaf pattern in 4 colors. Follow this step by step to know the use of this screen printing screen that has the distinction of being composed of 4 sheets with patterns that overlap and complement each other.
Step 1
Prepare a slab of white paste after passing your polymer paste through the dough machine (Step 5 of the Imperia machine ). Put your silkscreen number one on the polymer clay, pass the roller to chase the air and apply your first color. Do not forget to wash your silkscreen immediately under water with soap.

2nd step
Wait 10 minutes for the first applied paint to dry before placing the number two silkscreen and a second color.

Step 3
Go to screen number 3 with a different color. You have to locate in the overlay the angles of each screen visible through the silkscreen.

Step 4
Switch to the fourth color as well as the last screen to get your full pattern. Let the whole thing dry.

Step 5
Here is the result of these successive applications of paintings on a white background, black background and lastly the red is Sculpey red pomegranate paste.

Step 6
Cut out your plates in their width to obtain strips of 1.5 to 2 cm.

Step 7
Place your cookie cutter at the bottom of your band and take out 2 pieces with the same cookie cutter either the 2.5 cm hex or the 3 cm round.

Step 8
Place a gold diamond-shaped primer in the center of your room. Place parchment paper on top and then with a card press to penetrate the primer and put it at the same level as the dough. Remove the paper and then cut the inside of the metal hex with a scalpel. Leave the primer in place to bake in a traditional oven at 120 degrees for 30 minutes.

Step 9
Sand with a sanding paper that has a 1000 grit the edges of your pieces to round off the angles. Be careful not to sand the acrylic paint that would leave immediately.

Step 10
The application of acrylic paints on polymer clay requires protection of the parts once cooked. You can make a discreet and natural finish by applying a spray varnish it exists in matt , satin or glossy .
We chose to make a UV LED resin finish on all earrings. Remove the metal primer, pour some resin on the surface of your curl, spread with a toothpick to the edges of the pieces, put a little resin on the spot or wedge the piece of metal. Rest the primer in its place, position your UV lamp above and then operate it twice consecutively. You must similarly reseal the bottom of all your loops because otherwise the retraction of the resin when it catalyzes the fact that the relatively fine polymer parts curl.

Step 11
We chose to mount our earrings either with 4mm ball studs or ear studs with a gold bar. You just have to open the ring of your ear studs and pass it in the metal hexagon, close your ring.
