Toho beads are identified by a code that indicates their brand, size, shape and color. The color code is constant, regardless of the shape of the bead, making it easy to find similar shades. Please note, however, that some colors may vary, fade or tarnish depending on exposure and rubbing.
The color references below appear at the end of the Toho bead name.
For example, in the case of Seed beads Toho 11/0 TO11R49 - Jet, the first two letters "TO" stand for "Toho", the number "11" for the size 11/0, the letter "R" for the shape (Round) and the number "49" for the Jet color.
The color code remains unchanged whatever the shape of the Toho bead. Thus, TO3T221 corresponds to the same color as TO11R221.
