The month of October is synonymous with autumn, the return of cold and rainy days, but also with Halloween. Children's favorite holiday right after Christmas. On October 31, on the eve of All Saints' Day, merry monsters, funny ghosts and cute little witches will once again take to the streets in search of tasty treats.
But Halloween is also the perfect time for creators to let their imaginations run wild. So make the most of it!
Halloween is a contraction of "All Hallows Eve".
Originally, it was a Celtic ritual festival, originating in Ireland, to mark the end of the year. In those days, the calendar ended on October 31, not December 31. This day corresponded to the festival of Samain, celebrating the god of death Samain (or Samhain).
The Celts believed that at the dawn of the new year, the spirits came to visit the living for a few hours. They would then dress up in terrifying costumes to scare off the ghosts themselves.
Today, Halloween is a time for children to have fun scaring each other, going from house to house hunting for candy... or casting spells (for fun, of course). Trick or treat!
For a successful party, a terrifying decor is a must. How about a DIY Halloween this year?

Choose spooky accessories! You can create jewelry with skeleton, skull and crossbones or pumpkincharms to hang on a chain, on earrings or in charm bracelets.

If you're a beginner in the world of DIY and jewelry creation, Miyuki mini-kits make it easy to create a black cat, a bat or a ghost to wear at the end of a chain. These charming little mascots are sure to please young and old alike.
This year, Halloween can even be seen in your hair by personalizing a headband: hang skulls, eyes, lace, pearly or colored beads, flowers, feathers... Or glue on bat ears and wings cut out of felt.
Pumpkins remain the must-have for your homemade Halloween decorations. Traditionally, they're hollowed out and carved with the spooky face of Jack O'Lantern, the most popular character of the holiday. You can also customize them with paper, stencils, tape, paint, stamps... or simply arrange several gourds of different colors and sizes around the house.
And why not make your own fabric pumpkins? You'll be able to vary the materials and shades.
You can also turn your pumpkins into a vase, by pricking the stems of your flowers into florist's foam, or into a candy bucket... In short, anything goes! Just let your imagination run wild.
Once you've finished your spooky creations, we'll place them in the garden or entrance hall to welcome guests, or in the center of the table or on the furniture to set the tone.
Even though pumpkins are an essential part of your decor, they don't go it alone. Monsters, skeletons, vampires, witches and zombies also play their part.
