How to create the terrazzo effect: partially mix several colors of paste, leaving separate pieces, then spread. The result imitates Venetian terrazzo floors.

Basic materials required:
Baking temperature: scrupulously follow the manufacturer's instructions (generally 110-130°C for 30 minutes). Too high a temperature burns the dough, too low a temperature leaves it brittle.
Sanding for a clean finish: after baking and cooling, sand your creations in water with progressively grained sanding sheets (400, 600, 800, 1000). The result is a smooth, professional surface.
Varnishing: optional, but recommended to protect and enhance your creations. Use a special polymer varnish (matte, satin or gloss, depending on the desired effect).
Fimo clay is perfect for indulging yourself! It opens up an infinite creative universe. Every technique you master becomes a new playground for your ideas. So, which pair are you going to start with?

Fimo Soft is ideal for beginners as it is easy to knead.
Most polymer doughs cook at 110-130°C for 30 minutes. Always check the instructions on your paste packet. Firing too short makes jewelry fragile, firing too long burns it (especially light colors). You'll find everything you need in our technical data sheet.
It's best to remove them. Water won't harm the polymer clay itself, but it can dull the gold or silver finish of the primers (studs, rings). Your jewelry will last longer if you remove it for the shower.
Drill after firing and once the piece has cooled, using a hand chuck. Turn gently, exerting slight pressure. Drilling before firing may deform the holes and weaken the piece.
Several years if stored in a cool, dry place, away from light, in its original packaging or in cling film. If it hardens, knead it for a long time or add a few drops of Fimo Mix Quick.
