End clips for flat cords

Here is how to use the end clips to use with 4mm flat cords

Material and advice :
You will need nylon jaw pliers to avoid any traces on the end clips,
thread or ribbon..., In the example below we have used the Liberty ribbon Emilia's Flowers Vert,
end clips, here below we have used Sterling silver 4mm end clips.

Step 1:
You'd better pour a drop of glue inside the end clips to get a solid finish.

Step 2:
Position the ribbon in the middle of the end clip.

Step 3:
Fold one side of the end clip, using the nylon jaw pliers.

Step 4:
Do the same on the other side.

The result is great!!!

Tutorial steps

Step 1
End clips for flat cords : Step 1

For a better hold, it is preferable to put a dot of glue in the lace clip, before placing the cord.

Step 2

Place the end of the cord in the center of the lace clip.

Close one side of the lace clip with the nylon-tipped pliers.

Do the same with the other side of the lace clip.

L'anneau du pince lacet est tellement fin qu'il s'échappe toujours de l'anneau même en rapprochant au maximum les 2 cotés de l'anneau. Que dois-je faire pour que l'attache tienne ?

Bonjour Christine,

Pour mettre dans une pince lacet deux cordons d'1mm chacun vous devez donc utiliser une pince lacet plat de 2mm minimum. Par exemple celles-ci :

Bonjour,
j\'essaie de mettre des pinces lacet sur une chaine serpentine mais il est très difficile de replier un côté puis l\'autre compte tenu de la très petite taille de l\'embout et de l\'épaisseur de la pince pour le fermer. Avez-vous une solution? Merci.

Bonjour,

Pré-aplatissez un des côtés avant d\'insérer la chaîne ou bien collez-la dans la pince avant de rabattre les côtés.

Les pinces lacets doivent ils être plus petit que le cordon ? Car sur la page des lacets suédine 3 mm vous proposez des pinces lacets de 2,5 mm... ?

Bonjour, l\'idéal est que l\'embout de serrage soit de la même dimension que le cordon utilisé soit de 3mm pour ce cas. Ceux de 2,5mm vont aussi car ils sont écrasés.
