What is Fimo clay? It’s a polymer clay that hardens when baked. Fimo is the best-known brand, but there are others. It’s perfect for making jewelry, magnets, keychains, figurines, and more... Check out all our tutorials for decorative items and jewelry made from polymer clay!
Very easy to shape, Fimo Effect clay isjust as pliable as Fimo Soft. Some varieties have a pearlescent, glittery, pastel, metallic, transparent, granite, or even glow-in-the-dark finish.
Have fun mixing them together to create unique effects. They can be mixed with all other clays in the Fimo line: Soft, Classic, Kids, or Pro.
How do you use Fimo clay?
1) Work on a tile surface or a silicone mat.
2) Knead the polymer clay by hand, with a rolling pin, or in a clay machine.
3) Shape it.
4) Place your creations on the baking sheet to bake.
5) When the oven reaches 110°C, bake your creations for 30 minutes.
6) Remove your creations from the baking sheet and let them cool.
7) Leave the oven door and window open to let the heat escape.

Once dry, you can sand, scrape, paint, sculpt, or even varnish your projects.
