Cernit 's complete range includes classic colors like gold, bronze, copper and silver, as well as innovative colors like rust, steel and hematite. You'll also find bright colors like rose gold, green gold, champagne and turquoise.
What is Cernit clay? The new Cernit Metallic range is a soft clay that remains flexible after firing. Discover a wide range of colors on our site and have fun mixing them together to create new ones. Note that they are miscible with other Cernit clay and that the color does not transfer to your hands. Working with them in gradients will give you magnificent results. Have you heard of the Mica Shift technique? This method of scalping metallic clay gives the impression of seeing an image in relief, whereas the surface is completely smooth. Firing Cernit polymer clay :
1. Preheat your domestic oven to between 120°C and 130°C. Do not use a microwave oven.
2. Bake for a maximum of 30 minutes.
3. After baking, your Cernit creations will be solid and flexible. After firing, you can work on the finish: sculpting, sanding, painting, varnishing or resining the surface with bi-component resin or Uv Led resin.
How to store Cernit clay once opened: we advise you to store your clay at room temperature in crystal paper, then in an airtight box. Be careful not to put Cernit clay in contact with PVC, polystyrene or expanded polystyrene.
Less well-known than Fimo clay, Cernit has many advantages. It doesn't stick to fingers, doesn't stain and is odorless. These are the arguments that will help you choose between Cernit and Fimo.
