Les créoles are indémodable. They can be worn in all seasons, in gold or silver, thin or wide, small or large, they suit all tastes. Today, we're offering to personalize your créoles with natural stone beads. Our example is made with Malachite beads 4 mm, but feel free to use other types of gemstones. The Gemstone Beads are made from a variety of materials.
To attach these natural Malachite beads, you'll need a flexible 0.30 mm metal wire. We've chosen to offer you a flexible 12k Gold Filled wire, also known as Gold Laminate. This is a metallic wire coated with a layer of 12-carat gold. The main advantage of this wire is that the gilding is resistant and does not oxidize or oxidizes very little compared to copper gilding. As these beads are made of gold-plated stainless steel, we could also have offered a gold-plated stainless steel wire, but this is much less malleable and only available in 0.40 mm. It would be usable for these beads, which have a 1 mm hole, but other gemstone beads will not be compatible. The other option is to use gold-plated copper wire, which has a good quality/quantity/price ratio, but, as mentioned above, can oxidize after 1 or 2 years. It's up to you to choose the beads and wire that suit you best.
Cut approximately 45 cm of gold filled wire to attach the 17 Malachite beads in the example. If you wish to attach more, be aware that you'll need to add approximately 2.8 cm per additional bead. Wrap the wire around the crest five times. The long end of the thread should point towards the opening in the crate. Allow 1 cm of thread to pass through. Thread a Malachite bead.

Position the bead on the side of the crest, then wrap the long piece of thread around the crest of the bead again. Two turns are enough. Pass the small piece of wire through the hole in the bead. Use fine jewelry pliers. Then recut this small piece of wire as close as possible to the hole.
Thread on a new Malachite bead. Place it against the first one and again, wrap the thread twice around the bead. Continue until you have 17 beads on the crest. Tighten the beads and always wind the thread in the same direction.
Once all 17 beads have been attached to the crest, wrap the thread 5 times around the crest, thread the thread back through the hole in the last bead, tighten, then cut. Repeat to make your second earring.
