Start weaving at the widest part of the bracelet, as it is easier to make decreases than increases in Peyote.
Start decreasing once you've obtained a sufficiently wide weaving band, or at the end.

Thanks to Nadine's meticulous work, the Mocha Mousse Bracelet, originally designed for the loom, has been reinvented in a Peyote version. This new version combines Peyote Singles and Peyote Doubles. Don't worry if you've never tried double Peyote: it weaves like single Peyote, but instead of adding one bead at a time, you add two beads at once. All you have to do is imagine that the two beads are actually a single bead, and you're done. If you'd like to find out more about mixing single and double Peyote on the same project, click on the link to watch the video on the subject.
This project is aimed primarily at those with a good command of needle-bead weaving. It's only a weaving chart, with no detailed step-by-step instructions. A knowledge of Peyote weaving is therefore essential to make this bracelet from the pattern provided.
The Rose Gold heart clasp shown in the photo is not available for sale. It measures 24x27 mm. We offer other clasp options. Instead of wrapping the bead band directly around the clasp, you can wrap it around an open ring and connect it to the clasp of your choice. You'll find several options at the bottom of the page in the materials list.
The bead band on each side is ladder-stitched, then the end of the band is sewn to the rest of the weave to create a loop. So, the thread is passed several times through the beads on the weave and through the beads at the end of the strip to weld and solidify the attachment.
Thanks again to Nadine for her weaving grid!
Start weaving at the widest part of the bracelet, as it is easier to make decreases than increases in Peyote.
Start decreasing once you've obtained a sufficiently wide weaving band, or at the end.
The weave, excluding the clasp and fastener strips, measures approx. 15.5 cm. A complete pattern is 2.9 cm.
If the bracelet is too small, you can either add a pattern, but you'll get a bracelet of approx. 18.5 cm excluding the clasp, or you can add rings on either side of the weave to lengthen the clasp.
Weave the band on both sides of the bracelet. This is ladder stitch weaving. The beads are woven two by two. This is the same technique used to start brick stitch weaving.
Close the bands, forming tubes, and sew the ends to the weave, ironing several times through the beads in the weave and on the band. Finally, secure the clasp with open rings.
