What to do with Toho Aiko?

Do you know Miyuki Delica beads? Discover Toho Aiko beads. They are even more regular than Miyuki Delica beads, are almost the same size and can be used for the same types of weaving. In this video tutorial, we'll weave a Circular Peyote Bangle. It's a pattern by designer EMJY that I've adapted a little for Toho Aiko. Please note: Toho Aiko beads are sold in bags of 4 gr, unlike Miyuki Delica 11/0 beads, which are sold in bags of 8 gr. With 4 gr of Aiko Terracotta beads, you can make a bangle with up to 13 motifs. This number of motifs is suitable for a 19 cm turn of hand with the fitted tape measure, or around 20.5 cm with the loose tape measure. In other words, if you measure your hand circumference and the 20.5 cm length squeezes you, or doesn't allow you to slide your hand through the loop formed with the tape measure, then this means you'll need to make more than 13 motifs. In this case, the quantity of pearls in 1 bag of 4 gr terracotta pearls may not be enough. Add 1 extra bag to your basket. That's a total of 2 bags of Terracotta beads. For the other two colors, 1 bag should suffice. If you use Miyuki Delica 11/0 instead, the 8g of beads in the bag will suffice. Bangle patterns in Circular Peyote can be converted into bracelets with weaving tips and clasp. To do this, weave the pattern along the length of the bracelet instead of across its width. If you'd like to transform this bangle pattern into a bracelet with end caps, I recommend using 16 mm end caps and finishing each side with a width of 10 beads.
