Multi-charm hoop earrings with natural stones

How to make fancy earrings?

To round off this summer in style, we've come up with a collection of DIY tutorials based on natural stones: L'Eté Indien. Bracelets, necklaces and earrings, there's something for everyone!

In this tutorial, you'll learn how to make your own gold-plated multi-bracelet earrings from natural stones. To do so, you'll need a pair of creoles, open hoop earrings and a variety of charms and pearls. There are a total of 7 charms to add to a single creole, but it's still very accessible to beginners. The only difficulty will be making the little chain with the nugget beads. If you don't feel up to it, feel free to replace it with another charm or a simple piece of fine chain.

For these creoles, I've chosen to make them in gold and green colors, using Malachite andgreen Agate as natural stones. But you can adapt the design to suit your tastes, as we have a wide choice of natural stones on the site.

If you reproduce this tutorial, don't hesitate to share your jewelry on social networks by tagging our Facebook page or Instagram account. We'd love to see what you come up with!

Tutorial steps

Step 1
Multi-charm hoop earrings with natural stones : Step 1

We'll start by making the first charm. To do this, use one-step looper pliers to make a loop on the end of the flat-headed nail.

You can also do this step using flat-tip and round-tip pliers. You can follow our technical sheet: How to form a loop on a nail?

Step 2

Once the loop is complete, take an open ring and pass the charm through the ring.

Step 3
Multi-charm hoop earrings with natural stones : Step 3

Take the creole and pass the charm through its first closed ring, using the ring you've just added. Close the ring.

Step 4

Next, take a round gold sequin. Using an open ring, pass it through the second closed ring of the creole, then close the ring.

Step 5

To create the third charm of our earring, just as for the first, pass the stud through the pearly bead, and make the loop with one of the options offered: the one-step looper or the round-tip pliers technique.

Step 6

Take an open ring and slide on the third closed ring of the creole and the charm with the flat pearly bead. Close the ring.

Step 7

Then cut two 2.5 cm pieces of chain and one 2 cm piece.

Step 8
Multi-charm hoop earrings with natural stones : Step 8

For this step, I suggest you take a look at the following tutorial: Fine chain bracelet with natural Tourmaline stones.

I used the same technique as in this tutorial to add the nugget beads.

Step 9
Multi-charm hoop earrings with natural stones : Step 9

Once you've made the nugget bead chain, you can add it, along with the other two pieces of chain cut off beforehand, to the next closed ring of the creole, again using an open ring.

Step 10

You can then take the small round malachite charm with an open ring and place it on the next closed creole ring.

For the last two rings, I've again placed a round malachite bead and a gold sequin. Now you can make the second loop!
