How to make pearl earrings?
Discover in our new collection La Plage colorful jewelry to wear all summer long. These pretty creations will be ideal for wearing on the beach, at festivals or at events such as weddings!
In this tutorial, I show you how to réal a pair of earrings with Millefiori beads. Millefiori, which translates as a thousand flowers, are handcrafted glass beads whose technique is known to be a speciality of the Murano île, near Venice in Italy. This technique creates glass flower canes, which are then cut into small rondelles and reshaped into round, square or other beads. This technique can also be used to create objects made from lots of little glass flowers, hence the name Millefiori. These colorful beads are ideal for summer jewelry. Each of these beads is unique, so the beads ordered will not necessarily be exactly the same as those shown in the tutorial. These are also fragile pearls, so please handle with care.
These earrings are very easy to make and require very few materials. You'll need a bag of Millefiori pearls, flower ear studs, freshwater pearls and two different types of studs. You'll also need round-tipped pliers to shape the loops of the different studs you'll be using. There's a pair of pliers specially designed for forming loops, which you can find on our website.
Furthermore, these earrings can be customized with a different pair of studs, like our new sun stud earrings and a different shape of Millefiori beads.
