Discover in this tutorial how to create message bracelets with metallic thread and letter beads. It's a quick and easy creation for beginners, requiring very little technique. To make the capuchin knots you'll need in the following steps, you can consult our How to make a capuchin knot datasheet. Very few materials are required to make these bracelets: braided metallic embroidery thread, a few round gold beads and letter beads, stopper beads, scissors and you're done! To help you slide the thread into the beads, remember to bring along an eye needle.
The quantity of materials suggested at the bottom of the tutorial is calculated for making 4 bracelets. Remember to adjust the number of bags of stopper beads and golden worked beads to ensure you have enough.
You can personalize this tutorial to suit your tastes by choosing different colors of metallic thread (take care to choose braided metallic embroidery thread 16 so as not to have too fine a thread which could break) from the wide choice available on our website. You're now going to make a capuchin knot. To do this, prepare a tube by cutting a piece of paper approximately 2x5cm, roll it up and secure your tube with a piece of scotch tape.
Place the paper tube over the beads. Wrap the thread three times around the tube, starting at the beads.
If this is the first time you've made a capuchin knot, take a look at our video How to make a capuchin knot?

Pass the wire end through the tube in the opposite direction to winding.

Remove the tube and tighten the knot.

Follow the same steps for each bracelet.

To close your bracelet, insert your thread into the 4mm stopper bead using your eye needle.

Still using your needle, insert your thread into the stopper bead again, but in the opposite direction. You can use a pair of flat-nose pliers to make pulling easier.

Finish by tying double knots at the end, making sure to try the bracelets on for size. You can cut off any excess thread.
