How to make a Miyuki Delica bead clasp?

In this video, we'll make a Miyuki Delica 11/0 pearl cuff with a pearl clasp. Several weaving techniques are used in this tutorial: Triple Odd Peyote, Single Odd Peyote, Ladder Stitch and Circular Peyote. The cuff itself is made from Triple Odd Peyote, while the clasp is made using the other three techniques.

For these reasons, this tutorial is not intended for beginners. To get the most out of this creation, we recommend that you first make several works in Peyote Pair and Impair before taking the plunge. Here are some examples of beginners' tutorials:

You can make this cuff without the pearl clasp. In this case, the classic finish is to use weaving tips. You'll find compatible weaving tips and suggested clasps in the variation section of the equipment list. Here's how to use weaving tips on a Peyote weave. You need to add beads to all the beads that come out of the weave. As this is a triple Peyote, you'll need to add beads three at a time.

The pearl clasp is called a T-clasp, and consists of a ring and a bar. Here, the ring is flat, but we've already suggested another pearl clasp with a voluminous ring.

If you've never made a triple Peyote, don't worry! This is in fact normal Peyote, only the beads are woven three by three. Just imagine the three beads as a single pearl.
