This is a video for bead weaving beginners who want to make their first bracelet on a bead loom. To make your bracelet, you'll need 4 colors of Miyuki delica 11/0 beads. These are tubular seed beads. They are perfect for loom weaving, as they have a regular shape that fits perfectly on the loom. They can be used to create detailed decorations on woven bracelets. Miyuki is the name of the Japanese manufacturer and Delica, the name of its product: cylindrical beads. 11/0 refers to the size of the beads. 15/0 pearls are smaller than 11/0 pearls, and 11/0 pearls are smaller than 10/0 pearls. The larger the number in front of the zero, the smaller the beads.
This bracelet can also be made with regular classic seed beads, but if you change the beads, the weaving tip may not be suitable. If you're a beginner, we advise you to stick to the products used in the tutorial. You can, however, change the colors or use silver-plated primers, i.e. silver-plated stainless steel clasps and rings.
Here are a few tips before you start:
The first two rows of beads on the loom are the most difficult, but the following ones are much simpler. Keep your cool and do the first two rows in batches if you can't place the beads all at once. Try to maintain the same thread tension when tightening. Don't overtighten. When passing the needle back through the beads, be careful to pass the needle over the loom threads. Tighten the rows against each other as you go.
