What is a Mala necklace? This cult jewel created in India can be worn either as a necklace or as a bracelet. It is made up of 108 beads corresponding to mantra prayers, these beads are traditionally called grains, they can be wood , often sandalwood, semi-precious stones or even bone. We add at the bottom of the necklace a guru bead which has 3 holes to hang an amulet, a pendant, a pompom .
Step 1
You need a meter of fine macrame thread , start by threading your wooden beads by mixing the essences of sandalwood and those of jujube to obtain shades of wood colors, thread about forty beads on the thread.

2nd step
Now pass through your Amazonite beads by making one blue, one wooden, three blue a wood, the last blue on each side of what has already been mounted. Continue by threading about fifteen wooden beads, always alternating colors.

Step 3
Place your last semi-precious pearls to your liking as well as the last wooden pearls, you must have 2 left in all. Take the guru bead which is made up of 2 parts starting with the round bead with three holes. Cross the bead with the thread as if there were only two holes then with a needle go through the bottom hole to catch the thread and bring it out from the bottom. Do the same for the other side.

Step 4
Now thread the second part of the guru bead by passing the two threads through it.

Step 5
Take a pompom, pass a ring through its loop, add a smaller ring that you will close on the hole of the lotus flower interlayer, add a last small ring. You must with the ends of macrame thread make a double knot around this ring, then leave 2 mm on each side that you are going to burn then press these threads to melt them on the knot.
