DIY Nature Christmas ball with eucalyptus

How to make a homemade Christmas ball?

Like every year, as the Christmas season approaches, we offer you some tutorials to make your own DIY Christmas decorations. This time, we propose you a last minute DIY to realize very quickly in case you would be short of ideas and especially very short in timing... We know that the lovers of this period have for the most part already attacked their preparations several weeks or months in advance, but we will not lie, this is not the case for everyone.
So even if you're just a few days away from lighting the Christmas decorations and making the tree shine, you're still in need of ideas for your decorations, here's a tutorial to make a customizable Christmas ball with a natural spirit. Here, we used a transparent ball to fill in which we slipped eucalyptus. When it's finished, make it a decorative ball for your Christmas tree or your holiday table (or both!).

Want another plant or another dried flower? We invite you to discover all the other dried flowers available on our site. And also and above all to be inspired by your environment... Gather elements in nature (pine cones, dead leaves, tree branches...) and place them inside your transparent Christmas ornaments. Add a bit of glitter (powder, glitter, marbles...) for the sparkling side and you're done!

And to go further, we invite you to discover all our other Christmas decorating tutorials.

It's up to you! Don't forget to share the results of your creations inspired by this tutorial by identifying us on social networks!

Tutorial steps

Step 1

Cut a small length of your dried flower stem (here eucalyptus), between 5 and 10 cm. Repeat the operation as many times as you have balls to garnish.

Step 2

Put aside half of your stems to leave them natural. For the other half, use the paint can you have chosen (in this case gold) to spray paint one end of your stem with dried flowers. Let dry for a few minutes.

Step 3

Insert your dried flower stems inside your transparent balls. You only have to close them.

Step 4

To hang your balls, you can create ties with linen and make a classic knot.
