Macrame earrings gray gold rain effect

How to create your macrame earrings for the holidays?

This DIY jewelery tutorial shows you how to make a pair of macrame style dangling earrings to dress up your holiday outfits . Choose to make them long or short version and change the color according to your desire by selecting the shade that suits you among our selection of Griffin nylon thread .

This tutorial has been published in the magazine Atelier Déco & Créations of February 2018.

magazine atelier déco et créations numéro 41 février 2018

Step 1 :
Cut 10 pieces of 20 cm threads for each earring. Fold one in half and attach it to a 25mm ring with a lark's head knot . Do the same for the other 9 wires.

2nd step :
Make a simple knot with each pair of thread. You can help with a pencil tip to force the knot at the base of the lark knot.

Step 3:
With Cleotoo glue, smooth the ends of threads to 1cm and wait for the glue to dry. It will harden the ends of the thread and facilitate the passage through the beads. Spend 4 threads in each faceted cube bead. If the 4 wires do not fit, thread them one by one and wedge the threads on the edge of the bead to free up space in the hole. You can also cut the end of the thread into a point.

Step 4:
Then pass pairs of threads into Miyuki 8/0 rockeries . Start with two sons from the first group of four, then one from the first group of four and one from the second group of four. Then two sons from the second group of four, one from the second group of four, and one from the third group of four. And so on. Thread a bead to crush on each wire and flatten them.

Step 5:
Thread crimp beads that will flatten to create a golden rain effect.

Bonjour
Quel conseil pourriez-vous me donner ?
