Here’s a little customization idea for fan-shaped pendants with silk fringes. Use our ready-made half-moon pendants with tassels to create either a pair of earrings or a long necklace. Weave a small pattern using Miyuki Delica 11/0 beads of your choice and glue it onto the pendant. Choose earstuds or simple or decorative ear hooks to finish off your unique earrings, and have fun creating them in different colors. We offer a Sienna-colored half-moon pompom pendant or a gorgeous petrol blue pompom, for example. Other colors of fan-shaped pompoms are available on our website.
You can also customize them with a PureCrystal rhinestone or a 6 mm gemstone cabochon.
If you’re unfamiliar with the Brick Stitch needle weaving technique, we invite you to check out our technical guide: “How to Start a Brick Stitch Project?” and this tutorial: “Brick Stitch Unicorn with Miyuki Beads.”
In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to make two different earring designs. Choose to make either the bohemian hoop earrings or the earstuds with an 8 mm PureCrystal Delite cabochon. You’ll only need the 4 mm open rings for the latter version.
Don’t forget—we love seeing the results of the projects you make using our tutorials.
