How do you weave a teardrop-shaped spacer using 11/0 Miyuki Delica beads?
In this tutorial, learn how to weave teardrop-shaped spacers. Very easy and quick to make, this DIY tutorial is perfect for beginners. The technique used here is similar to the “Wrap” technique. This technique is also used in the tutorials “Wrap-Style Miyuki Delica Bead Bangle ” and “Earrings and Bracelet with Pendant and Woven Spacer in 925 Sterling Silver.”

Cut 1 m of weaving thread such as C-Lon AA and thread a weaving needle. Thread the needle through one of the outer holes in the spacer. Hold the thread with your finger to prevent it from slipping. Thread the following beads: 2 gold, 3 white, 1 red, 3 white and 2 gold. Thread through the opposite hole while holding the thread.
Add the same sequence of beads to the back of the interlayer again and thread through the first hole from step 1. Pass the needle through the set of beads threaded in step 1 again and return to the second hole. Pass the needle back through the beads threaded in this step and return to the first hole.
Pass through the next hole and string the following beads: 2 gold, 2 white, 1 red, 1 gold, 1 red, 2 white and 2 gold. Pass the needle through the opposite hole and repeat step 2, but with this sequence of beads.
Once in the fifth hole, i.e. the third row of beads on one side, repeat step 3 again.
For the last row of beads, repeat the bead sequence from step 1.
Iron through all the rows of beads to solidify the weave. Then go back 2 rows and cut the thread. Do the same with the remaining thread.
Open the ear hook rings and place the drop spacers inside. Close the rings.
