Gold Filled (rolled gold) dangling earrings

How to make Gold filled and zirconium oxide dangling earrings?

If you're looking for a simple, elegant piece of jewelry to make yourself, you've come to the right place. For this tutorial, I've decided to make gold filled earrings with a special feature: the pendant is placed behind the lobe, adding a touch of originality to your ears.

Gold filled, or laminated gold, is a precious material of superior quality to simple gold plating. Composed of a thick layer of 14-carat gold heat-bonded to a metal base (often brass), it offers excellent durability over time. Hypoallergenic and water-resistant, it won't tarnish and retains all its brilliance, even when worn daily. It's the ideal choice for long-lasting jewelry, at a more affordable price than solid gold. Take a look at our Gold Filled primers and components to complete your DIY jewelry collection.

These Gold Filled dangling earrings add a touch of elegance and romance to your style, enhanced by delicate zirconium oxide heart charms. This refined model seduces with its chic simplicity and original touch: the heart-shaped pendant slips delicately over the back of the lobe, creating a trendy double jewel effect. A subtle, modern take on the dangling earring!

Zirconium oxide heart charms add a luminous, romantic touch to the ensemble. Their diamond-like brilliance catches the light with every movement. The slim, sleek design of these earrings makes them easy to match, whether for a special occasion or a more casual look.

This DIY jewel is accessible even to beginners and requires few tools. The tutorial explains each assembly step in detail, with all the advice you need to position the pendant correctly behind the lobe. An original creation to give as a gift or to yourself, and to be adapted according to your desires! And if you reproduce them, don't hesitate to send us photos or tag us on your Facebook, Instagram and Tiktok posts!

Tutorial steps

Step 1
Gold Filled (rolled gold) dangling earrings : Step 1

Cut two pieces of chain, one 8 mm and one 10 mm. On each piece, hang a ring on each side, and on one ring each, hang a small heart charm and a larger one.

Step 2

Take the two pieces with the charms, and attach them to the pendant.

Step 3

The earring is almost finished, so all you have to do is pass the pendant over the chip stem.

When you put on the earring, remember to wedge the pendant on the stem, but behind the lobe.

Bonjour,
