How to make a herringbone weave on a creole?

These creoles in <a title="weaving Herringbone" 1/tutoriels/f701-idees-tutoriels-bijoux-weaving-herringbone.html">weaving Herringbone</a> or chevron stitch are all the rage on social networks. Many of you have asked us for the tutorial - your wish has come true! They're made with <a 1/miyuki-miyuki-delica-110-c-55_369_984.html">Miyuki Delica 11/0 beads, so it's up to you to choose your favorite colors! You'll also need Seed beads 15/0 and small <a title="faceted beads True 2 mm" 1/perles-composants-facettes-de-boheme-c-2626_21.html?facets%5Bproducts_diameter%5D%5B%5D=2&special=0">faceted beads True 2 mm</a>. We've chosen soft, summery colors to accompany you this summer. In fact, the metal elements used are all in gold-plated stainless steel. So you can wear them all summer long, or even all year round, without worrying about oxidation. The mother-of-pearl of the pretty heart beads is also reminiscent of the beach. In the variations section of the equipment list, you'll find the silver version of the stainless steel primers and a gradient of blue Miyuki Delica 11/0 beads.</p> <p>The first row of this weave is made in Brick Stitch and the following rows are in Herringbone. Herringbone weave is used in several tutorials, both for earrings and bracelets. It's a weave that creates angles. You'll often find it combined with Peyote weaving to create complex shapes such as square or triangular rings. • Tutorial steps

    Step 1

Straighten the wire end of the creole, on the back, with flat pliers to prevent the creole from opening during weaving. Cut approximately 1.5 m of 0.10 mm fireline thread and thread it onto a size 12 needle. Tie a double knot in the creole where you want to start weaving. Keep 20 cm of the thread end. To make your first row of brick stitch, thread two DB-0352 beads, then pass the needle under the creole to bring it out through the center. Then pass the needle back through the second bead. Tighten to place the beads perpendicular to the creole. Pass the needle through the first bead again, then through the second, and tighten to straighten both beads.

    Step 2

Thread a new DB-0352 bead, then pass the needle under the creole to bring it out through the center again. Pass through the threaded bead to attach it to the creole in turn. Repeat this step until you have attached a total of 38 DB-0352 beads to the creole. Refocus the beads on the creole if necessary.

    Step 3

Thread a 15/0 gold seed bead, a 2 mm faceted bead and another 15/0 seed bead. Thread through the penultimate DB-0352 bead. Then thread through the second-to-last bead. Let's start the Herringbone weave: Thread two DB-1900 beads and pass through the next bead. Pass through the next bead again and string two more DB-1900 beads, then pass through the next bead. Continue like this until you reach the last DB-0352 bead duo. On this last pearl duo, attach a 15/0 gold bead, a 2 mm faceted bead and another 15/0 bead. Turn around, passing through the creole and back through the pearls, to return to the last DB-1900 pearls attached.

    Step 4

Thread a 15/0 gold seed bead, a 2 mm faceted bead and another 15/0 seed bead. Thread through the second-to-last woven DB-01900 bead. Then pass through the second-to-last DB-1900 bead. Start the second Herringbone strand with DB-0099 beads. String two DB-0099 beads and move on to the next DB-1900. Switch back to the next DB-1900 and string two DB-0099 beads. Move on to the next DB-1900 and so on until you reach the last DB-1900 bead duo, on which you will attach the bead chain: a 15/0 gold seed bead, a 2 mm faceted bead and another 15/0 seed bead. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the following Herringbone strands. After DB-0099, DB-0205 and DB-2171.

    Step 5

Add a 15/0 golden seed bead, a 2 mm faceted bead and another 15/0 seed bead to the last DB-2171 duo, then thread a 15 seed bead and move on to the next DB-2171 duo. Add a 15 seed bead between each of these branches. Once this is done, thread the beads back to the knot at the beginning. Tie the two ends together, then wedge them into the weave and cut.

    Step 6

Thread the heart beads onto a ball head nail. Bend the nail to form a right angle. Recut the shank 1 cm from the bead. Form a loop with round-tipped pliers. Cut seven links of chain. Attach your nail to the last link of the chain and hang the chain from the creole with an open ring.

    Bonjour,

Bref, merci !
