We used heishi beads in Mocha Mousse shades, gold charms, star beads and a pompom. All attached to white attahes lunette.
To connect the bead cord to the eyewear, we use eyewear clips, silicone tips that slide onto the temples of the eyewear. In this tutorial, we've attached the clips directly to the bead cord. However, you can also opt for closed rings to attach the cord and connect the bezel clip to the ring with an open ring, making it easy to change clips and cords.
To begin, cut a 65 cm piece of fishing line. Thread the bead through the bezel clamp, then back through the bead, leaving a small 5 cm piece of wire. Bring the bead close to the bezel clamp and flatten it with flat-tipped pliers. For a neater look, place a bead cover over the crushed bead.
Then string your beads! If you want to reproduce the same cord, first thread 10 cm of brown beads, 3 cm of ivory beads, 1 cm of nude orange beads and once more 3 cm of ivory beads, repeating these steps, alternating with the charms. Then thread the thread through them, and repeat the same fastening on the other side.
Once the cord is finished, you can use the remaining beads to create a matching bracelet. To do this, cut 1 piece of 28 cm elastic thread. Pull on the thread to prevent it from loosening later. Thread the remaining beads onto the elastic thread, adding the order you prefer. And you can add a charm to echo the cord.
Tie the two wire ends together with a double surgeon's knot. Tighten the knots by pulling on the wires. Cut the ends of the wires 1-2 cm from the knot, then slip the heishi beads over the knot.
Tie a second surgeon's knot. Tighten the knot firmly by pulling on the wires. Cut the ends of the wires 1 or 2 mm from the knot, apply glue to the knot and slide the heishi beads over it.
