Cut two 1m cords. Thread them through the anchor clasp and place the clasp in the center. Secure the clasp to the table with scotch tape or Patafix.
Follow this video tutorial to learn how to make an anchor bracelet for men. Of course, this bracelet is also unisex. This bracelet features braided cords joined by a four-strand braid, stainless steel beads and a marine anchor clasp. In the video tutorial, I show you how to make the four-strand braid, also known as the fishtail braid, as well as a trick for creating and securing the loop you'll use to close the bracelet. The cords are available in many colors: gray, green, black and more. Feel free to personalize your bracelet!
This is a men's jewelry tutorial for beginners, but take your time adjusting the bracelet size. Remember that it's better for the bracelet to be a little too big than too small. To help you adjust the size of this marine anchor bracelet, you can use cylindrical everyday objects that are the same size as the wearer's wrist (like a small coffee cup), or you can use a wooden triboulet. This cylindrical tool can be used to shape metal bracelets, but it can also be used to check that a bracelet fits a particular wrist size. It's a handy tool when you're making lots of bracelets. Cut two 1m cords. Thread them through the anchor clasp and place the clasp in the center. Secure the clasp to the table with scotch tape or Patafix.
Separate the cords two by two on each side. Take the wire on the far left and place it in the center. Take the cord on the right and pass it over the other cord on the right and over the cord you've just placed in the center. Repeat this step until you have a braid of at least 30 cm.
Form a 5 cm loop by folding the braid. Test the length on the correct-sized cylinder. You should be able to open and close the bracelet easily. Adjust the length by removing a few rows of the braid or lengthening it if necessary. Then make a pencil mark 5 cm from the end. Using a wool needle, thread the four cords one by one through the braid at the mark.
Then thread them through the large bead. Reassemble the bead on the loop without removing it from the bracelet. Recut the wire ends 2-3 mm from the braid. Apply a generous amount of glue to the top and bottom of the wire ends to make sure they're securely glued in place, then pass the large bead over the wire ends to hide it all. Wipe off excess glue quickly with a paper towel. Leave to dry for 24 hours.
