How to finish a weave with inverted peyote tips?
Want to try a new weave to expand your collection? You've come to the right place! Here's a new tutorial by our creative partner Petit Bout de Chou, aka Estelle, using the odd peyote weaving technique. If you're not familiar with the odd peyote weaving technique, it's a loomless bead weaving technique! This tutorial is at an intermediate level, but if you're just starting out, you can use the How to start an odd peyote bracelet datasheet .
This bracelet is made in odd peyote weave with Miyuki Delica 11/0 beads. You'll find all the bead references at the bottom of the materials list. All you need is a very fine weaving needle and strong weaving thread. However, this peyote weaving grid is not compatible for loom weaving, as the beads are not aligned in the same way. This bracelet is woven with 21 rows of pearls across its width. It is compatible with Perles and Co's exclusive weaving tips. These tips enable you to finish your weavings at the point and give a more finished look to your creations.
In this tutorial, we use a pattern with star cut-outs. You can also use the21 mm bohemian-style weaving tip. These weaving tips come in 3 sizes and two tip directions. Here, the point is towards the weave. For the other models, the weave points towards the tip. Here, the bracelet is a starry night, in black and blue tones, but you can change the colors of the Miyuki Delica 11/0 beads to create a starry bracelet to your taste. You can wear this bracelet with a festive outfit, or with a simple outfit to give it a touch of chic and sparkle, thanks to the gold tone beads and end caps.
